Why have I been asked to provide my Covid-19 vaccination status?

Many organisations in Australia are now required to request the vaccination status of their current and prospective employees in order to ensure they meet their work health and safety duties in relation to Covid-19. This information helps with workforce planning and risk management in relation to Covid-19.

What will you do with my data?

Testgrid stores your certificate securely in Australian-based data storage sites. Your employer, or prospective employer, will not have access to the certificate.

What information will you provide to my employer/prospective employer?

You will need to provide your full name, and upload a copy of your Australian vaccination certificate or valid immunisation exemption certificate. Not sure how to get a copy? Instructions are here, including how to access a certificate if you were vaccinated overseas.


Testgrid reviews your vaccination certificate or valid immunisation exemption certificate and advises your employer or prospective employer of your vaccination status. Your employer, or prospective employer, will not have access to the certificate.

Any additional information provided during the process will be available to your employer or prospective employer. This may include your full name, email address, current employee ID, location and department. 

 

 

Where do I get my vaccination certificate?

To complete this process, you will need to provide your full name, and upload a copy of your Australian vaccination certificate or valid immunisation exemption certificate. What if I was vaccinated overseas?

Some overseas vaccinations can be added to the Australian Immunisation Register (AIR) and will then appear on your digital vaccination certificate. For information about which vaccines are recognised and how to add them to the AIR, please refer to the Services Australia website.

 

 

What if I have an exemption?

If you have been granted an exemption from receiving the Covid-19 vaccination, this will be recorded by your doctor in the Australian Immunisation Register (AIR) and reflected on your Covid-19 digital certificate.

 

 

I don’t consent to giving you my vaccination status. 

If you decline to provide proof of your vaccination status, your employer or potential employer may assume you are unvaccinated. Depending on the function and activity of your workplace, this may affect your ability to carry out your designated duties.

Please contact the organisation that has requested you provide your vaccination status to discuss your options. 

 

 

What is the process for uploading my vaccination certificate?

To complete this process, you will be asked to upload your vaccination certificate. You can upload either the pdf image of the certificate or take a screenshot from your phone.  

If this is the first time accessing the Testgrid platform, you will need to create your account prior to commencing the testing.  

To do this, click the “Sign Up” button on the login screen, then follow the prompts to create your account.  You will need to make sure that the name you use to sign up with matches the name on the certificate. 

If you have previously used the Testgrid platform, but the name you signed up with is different to the name on your Covid-19 digital certificate, you will need to update your details in the Testgrid platform to match the name on your Covid-19 digital certificate.

 

There will also be an informed consent form to accept. Follow the instructions to upload your certificate.

Why do you need to know my employee ID, department and location?

In order to assist with workforce planning and risk management in relation to Covid-19, some companies will require you to provide your employee ID, department and location. If you do not wish to provide this information, please contact the company that has asked you to complete this process.

Not all companies will require this information, the information that you need to provide will be made clear in your invitation email.
